South Coast Wolves
Formed 1981
Wollongong City were formed specifically to compete in the National Soccer League and competed from the 1981 season until they were relegated as the league reduced in size for the 1987 season. The team had one season in the wilderness and then returned in 1988 and were ever present from then on until the NSL's demise in 2004.
The club won 2 NSL titles in 2000 and then again in 2001
Since 2004 they have competed in the NSW Premier League and won the Grand Final in 2008. Despite this success the club suffered severe financial difficulty and eventually folded.
In 2009 the Club resurfaced as the Wollongong Community Football Club and renamed them selves "Wolves" later in the year. In 2010, the team became known by their new name the South Coast Wolves.
