Adamstown Rosebuds

Formed 1889

Adamstown Rosebuds were formed in 1889.

They competed as Newcastle Rosebud United in the National Soccer League for 3 seasons between 1984 and 1986 when the competition reverted back to its one division format and they were not involved.

They now compete in the Northern NSW State leagues.

Formed 1889

KB United's NSL licence was taken over by Adamstown Rosebuds in 1984 after the collapse of Newcastle KB United. Rosebuds renamed themselves Newcastle Rosebud United while they played in the NSL. The Rosebuds competed in the National League for 3 seasons and were subsequently relegated in 1986.
