Brisbane Strikers
Formed 1991
The club was formed in 1991 as Brisbane United and
competed for two years in the NSL after the demise of Brisbane
United the name was changed to the Brisbane Strikers who competed in the National Soccer League between 1994 and 2004 winning
the competition in 1997. After the dismantling of
the NSL they competed in the Brisbane Premier League. They now compete in the Queensland State League.

The club was formed in 1991 as Brisbane United and
competed for two years in the NSL after
the demise of Brisbane United the name was changed
to the Brisbane Strikers who competed in the National Soccer League between 1994 and 2004.
The Brisbane Strikers won the National League during the
1996/97 season, then known as the Ericsson Cup in front of a record sell out
crowd of over 40,000. The Strikers won the final 2-0 defeating Sydney
United.
After the dismantling of the NSL they competed very
successfully in the Brisbane Premier League and in their first year they reached the Semi-Final,
the next year they won the premiership and the year after were
runners-up.
They were inaugural members of the Queensland State League in
2008.
