The Club was
founded in 1954 by Italian migrants, A.P.I.A. stands for Associazione Poli-sportiva Italo Australiana,
which in English means Italian Australian Multi-sports Association. They competed in the NSL between 1979 and 1992 before reverting to the NSW Premier League.

The Club was founded in 1954 by Italian migrants, A.P.I.A. stands for Associazione Poli-sportiva Italo Australiana, which in English means Italian Australian Multi-sports Association.
Initially they
competed in the NSW Division 1 always maintaining their top flight status in
that competition and won the competition an impressive 4 times including a heyday in the mid sixties with wins in 64, 65 and 67.
They competed in the National Soccer League between 1979 and 1992 and won the League in 1987.
In 1992 they went back to competing in the NSW Super League.
They now compete in the NSW Premier League and have won that competition once in 2003.
